Overview

As our Medical Technologist at CHI St Vincent,聽 you will help solve mysteries as to what鈥檚 ailing a patient and get us one step closer to successfully treating that illness or injury. You will perform a variety of technical analyses, verify results and assure quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist). You鈥檒l build trust in all your interactions through your professionalism and work ethic.聽

CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. Responsibilities

We depend on the knowledge and skills of our MT鈥檚 when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what鈥檚 happening with our patients.聽They聽are vital to聽the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Love working in a lab and analyzing results? Connect with us today!聽

Expectations:

  • Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, or spinal, to determine presence of normal or abnormal components聽
  • Collect biological specimens from patients聽
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis聽
  • Enter data from analysis of medical tests or clinical results into computer for storage聽

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology聽
  • Certification by the ASCP Board of Registry/Board of Certification
