Responsibilities

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving complex logistical challenges? CHI Franciscan Health is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Placement Coordinator!

This isn't just a scheduling role; it's a critical function in ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow. You'll be the central point of contact, coordinating bed assignments across multiple departments and facilities, optimizing bed utilization, and ensuring patients receive timely and appropriate care.

What you'll do:

  • Monitor patient admissions, discharges, and transfers in real-time, anticipating needs and proactively managing bed availability.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient placement.
  • Utilize technology and communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed and updated.
  • Contribute to a smooth and efficient patient flow, minimizing wait times and maximizing bed utilization.
  • Work in a dynamic team environment, contributing to the overall success of the hospital.

Two Years of recently related experience, in a hospital setting is preferred but not required! We are looking for individuals with strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Medical terminology knowledge is a must.
